LayerShed AU started with a 3D printer in a shed and a simple idea: useful things shouldn't be boring, expensive, or shipped from overseas. Every product is designed by the community (credited on each product page), printed to order in Epping VIC, and finished by hand before it ships.
You order online and pay securely through Stripe. We print your item within 1–3 days, quality-check it, and post it with Australia Post tracking (or you pick it up in Epping for free). You get an email at every step — printing, shipped, delivered.
We print in PLA — a plant-based, biodegradable plastic that's food-safe for dry goods and fine for indoor use. Wipe clean with a damp cloth; keep out of direct summer sun in a car. Colours are printed solid, not painted, so they never chip.
Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Your email is used only for order updates and (if you opt in) the occasional newsletter. No data is sold, ever.
Printing takes 1–3 days depending on the item, then Australia Post tracked delivery is 2–4 business days metro (longer for regional). Pickup in Epping is free — message us to arrange a time.
Yes — every product page shows the available colours. Pick your colour at checkout and we print it in that filament.
We quality-check everything before it ships, but if something arrives damaged, email us a photo within 7 days and we'll reprint it free — no return postage needed.
Often yes! Use the contact form with a description or a link to a model file. If it's a small print we'll quote you within a day.
PLA is food-safe for dry goods (like spice racks) and fine for indoor use. For outdoor items like the ChlorineFloat, PLA holds up well in shade; direct summer sun can soften it over time.
Because everything is made to order, we don't offer change-of-mind refunds — but if there's a defect or damage, we'll make it right with a free reprint.
